I read this book decades ago and just reread it. If you haven't opened this book for yourself, you should.
In a nutshell, it's about a small town preacher who listened to God's calling. And although he had no teaching, no living on the street life, he walked into the streets of New York and worked with gang members, drug addicts, hookers, homeless. You know, the people that most turn their noses to... This man had no idea what he was doing; yet, he walked in blind. Following the lead of the Holy Spirit.
Still a powerful story... How one man was used to change THOUSANDS upon thousands of lives.
